The results… A thorough AF Client Agreement for us DFPers which will keep us (and our clients) safe, happy & on the same page!

What’s Included?:

-DFP Client Agreement which covers:

• The ins and outs of the session details (when, where, for how long, with whom, etc.)

• Session Fees, Additional costs (like if you need a permit for shooting in a certain location or if you need them to cover your ticket into Disneyland, travel, etc.), & Payment (how they can pay, when they can pay & what is included in the session fee payment. This is customizable so you can change it up fit to your business needs. Like if your session fee includes the shoot only & products are purchased after… Or, if you are all inclusive… or or or )

• Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy (for if you or the client decides to shake things up a bit. This makes it crystal clear for both parties)

• Operating Procedures (like how shit is gonna go down. You’re going to chat them up in your pre-consultation before the session takes place so you can let them know not to be cheesing it up for the camera. You’re going to be covered in the case of bad lighting or missed moments or if Heaven forbid your camera takes a dump and stops working. And you will be covered in the case of having to stop the session / leave due to a rabid chicken (or any other animal or human being) being a dick.

• Copyright & Client Image Use is there too

• Images & File Delivery (How are you getting them their images? Do they come hang out with you & you walk them through an in person ordering appointment? Do you deliver via Online Gallery? The choice is yours and the agreement is ready to customize)

• Archiving + Editing (Your archive policy and your right to edit or not edit the images how you see fit. Also, a scolding for any client who slaps a filter on your beautiful work or any other alterations they think they wanna make)

• Data Policy (As in, what are you doing with their info. If you are in the EU please be sure to purchase our EU ready version of this agreement)

• Limit of Liability (All of the usual stuff, plus, you are not a baby sitter, kids safety stuff, AND if you climb on a chair to get a different perspective and that weak ass chair breaks, you’re covered)

• All of the usual stuff that is in photography contracts

-Model Release

• You can use this as a separate document as well for any nosy neighbours who pop by and end up in the images

-Step by Step instructions on how to customize and make this agreement work for your biz

Documentary Family Photographers Worldwide Limited (DFP) is not an attorney and does not and is not authorized or licensed to provide legal consultation or advice. The Agreement for Photography Services (this “Agreement”) is a general contract applicable to United States federal and common law and may not address the laws or regulations of any individual state or country. Different states or countries may have different laws or regulations that affect the pursuit of business or commercial interests, the formation of contracts, the ownership or descent of intellectual property rights, or the rights or duties of both minor children and the guardians of minor children.
